richard says:

What I want to do is go back to this other point that I popped for a moment earlier about why it's useful to know I am doing this projection. So yes I'm so if I if I say that I'm doing some of this and I take it back. So this is my say my unhappiness if I take it back and have it, I own it.

I own it. I incorporate it. I integrate it and stop trying to get rid of it. Then I have a better chance of reaching what I would call wholeness. Now there's another technical term in therapy we use which is integration.

Well integrative therapy integrative therapy actually is ambiguous. So there are two meanings and one meaning is this one. So one meaning is a therapy which aims to help the individual achieve integration. Okay and become more whole. I'll just clarify this because the I said there are two meanings to this. Sometimes, in fact very often, integrative therapy is used by the term integrative therapies is used by therapists who use several different methods and so they're using some of this method and some of that method according to what they judge is useful.

And they use this word for that they use this word integrative to describe the method they use because they’re integrating different approaches.

richard says:

It’s the integration of different approaches in their therapeutic method. That's one meaning and the other one is the integration of the individual which is seen as a healthy state relatively or and incidentally, there's another word which you hear "holistic" which is sometimes you know that don’t know what it means but the first bit the whole comes in the Greek Holistic and end means wholeness so holistic therapy is one which treats the individual as a whole rather than bits. And if you if you like Holistic therapy is the kind of the opposite of I was going to say the NHS. Not to criticize the NHS because because it's that's really easy to do.

You only have to you and you have to have a Facebook account or listen to what some of the political parties and we started you know we can we get into this mode of good versus bad. You know so we say the good the wonderful NHS you know the good NHS it was set up in nineteen forty whenever. And it's it's something to be proud of and it's unique in the world which it is you know it's got lots of good things and then there's this other zone we go into we go I was waiting six months for that operation and then I canceled it and said you'll have to wait another two months I am not saying that's great of course you know no one wants to have the wait longer but it's and then we can also we can get into the complaining about the funding and that Trust is privatizes their cleaning services and now it's not that goes and what's the NHS doing and they're trying they're paying too many managers not not enough nurses and we can we can spend an awful lot of energy going isn't it really really bad and we can spend an awful lot of energy going isn't it really really good. And this is is is that such and such a waste. Yeah it's a waste of energy.

So anyway back to holistic therapy something that treats the whole individual and sees the individual as a system not just not just bits. Whereas if you go to the doctor or there is a hospital for treatment they very often will look they’ll always say what's the problem and you go well my legs painful. Okay well let's see let's see how we can treat your leg you know well got we got this ointment for legs. We got this operation for a knees or ankles or whatever it is I will treat that and off you go and you come back in two weeks time and have an examination.

Meanwhile they didn't say for example How your bowels working and they didn't say how good your memory lately. You know I haven't got time and incidentally I don't blame them for that but that's how it's goes on. That that's how they operate on. And what I do have more of an issue is is within their mental health. So I feel a whole new topic emerging in the when I start to say this. Which may be maybe is a will happen on another video. So I can talk about how the mental health system addresses so called mental health issues.
